2008 - Mathematics Amoung Primary Schools

The YellowBird Foundation has partnered with the Ministry of Education to conduct a study on the impact of manipulatives on the teaching and learning of mathematics. The study entails the training of the teachers of the recipient schools, monitoring the teaching of mathematics, and finally evaluating and comparing the impact of students.
The initiative will also see to form an Association of Teachers of Mathematics; celebrate Mathematics Awareness Month; develop a strategy booklet on key topics; form school mathematics panels; strengthen mathematics Heads of Department; and train specialist mathematics teachers at the primary level.
